BURBANK, CA – 23-Year-Old Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision on San Fernando Boulevard

BURBANK, CA (December 10, 2021) – A 23-year-old woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Friday night, at the intersection of San Fernando Boulevard and Grinnell Drive. 

Around 9:30 p.m., Burbank police received a call about the fatal collision and responded to the scene. The victim had been crossing the street in a marked crosswalk when she was hit and dragged by the suspect for multiple blocks. She was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The suspect vehicle was found abandoned nearby, and the suspect was later identified as 49-year-old Jesse Molina, a Granada Hills resident. He was arrested on murder charges. 

Just minutes before the deadly hit and run, another crash occurred on the 5 freeway, shutting down multiple northbound lanes of the 5 freeway. Police are investigating if the same driver may have been involved. 

The 23-year-old victim has not yet been identified.
