EAST LOS ANGELES, CA – Julian Mendez, Abigail Flores and Jahmai Flores Killed in Fiery Solo Vehicle Crash
EAST LOS ANGELES, CA (April 8, 2022) – Three people were killed on Friday early morning in a solo-vehicle crash that resulted in the vehicle catching fire.
The three people were identified as 21-year-old Julian Mendez, the driver of the car, and two teenage siblings, 18-year-old Jahmai Flores and 19-year-old Abigail Flores.
Around 12:30 a.m., the trio were traveling at the intersection of Herbert Avenue and Olympic Boulevard when for unknown reasons the vehicle crashed into a tree.
A nearby truck driver spotted the car on fire and used a fire extinguisher to put out the flames.
All three were pronounced dead at the scene. The deadly accident is still under investigation.
