ELK GROVE, CA – 1 Injured in Hit-and-Run Fiery Collision on Highway 99 near Laguna Blvd
ELK GROVE, CA (January 17, 2022) – One person was injured when another vehicle collided with them on Highway 99, ultimately setting their car on fire.
The crash happened at 5 p.m. near Laguna Blvd, when a silver Hyundai that was driving at a high rate of speed struck a minivan, pushing them into the highway’s center divider.
The minivan then caught fire. The driver was able to escape in time.
The silver Hyundai had also crashed, and was laying on its roof in the middle of the highway, but the driver fled the scene before authorities could detain him.
No other details have been released.
