SACRAMENTO, CA – 25-Year-Old Woman Killed on Highway 50 near 59th Street
SACRAMENTO, CA (March 24th, 2022) – A 25-year-old woman was killed Thursday morning in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 50.
The fatal crash happened in the early hours of Thursday, some time before 8 AM. A 25-year-old woman was driving a Subaru on Highway 50 near 59th Street when she suddenly veered out of control and struck a barrier, overturning her vehicle.
A few moments later, a woman driving a Volkswagen struck the overturned Subaru, which was blocking the number four lane.
The 25-year-old driver of the Subaru was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Volkswagen was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities are still investigating to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the deadly crash.
