FOLSOM, CA – 3 Dead in Head-on Collision on Folsom Lake Crossing
FOLSOM, CA (February 15th, 2022) – Three people were killed in a head-on collision on Folsom Lake Crossing Tuesday night.
The violent crash happened around 4 p.m., when one vehicle swerved across the center divider for unknown reasons and crashed head-on into an oncoming vehicle.
It is unclear how fast both vehicles were driving, but both vehicles were severely damaged.
Lt. Andrew Bates stated that, “unfortunately, in head on collisions, you add up the speeds both vehicles were driving.” Thus, two vehicles traveling the speed limit could still create major injuries and damage if they crash into each other head-on.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, and one other died at the hospital not long after. Their identities have still not been released.
