SONOMA, CA – Teen Killed, 4 Others Injured in Multi-vehicle Collision on State Route 116

SONOMA, CA (January 16th, 2022) – A 16-year-old boy was killed, and four others were injured, in a multi-vehicle collision caused by a reckless driver on State Route 116.

Shortly after 11 a.m., a Cadillac heading west on SR-116 was driving recklessly, eventually passing over into opposing traffic and crashing head-on into two vehicles, and then a third. 

The driver of the Cadillac, identified as 24-year-old Manessis Alexander, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. One of his 16-year-old passengers was pronounced dead at the scene. A second 16-year-old in the vehicle also sustained injuries and was airlifted to the hospital.

Alexander has since been arrested on suspicion of DUI.
