WATTS, CA – 1 Dead, 1 Injured After Wrong-way Driver Crashed into Duplex on Wilmington Avenue
WATTS, CA (April 16, 2022) – One person is dead and another is badly injured after their vehicle crashed into a duplex early Saturday morning.
Around 4:30 a.m., witnesses reported seeing a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Wilmington Ave, moments before it jumped a curb and crashed into a duplex at the intersection of Century Boulevard.
The passenger of the vehicle, a woman who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, an unidentified male, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Neighbors stated that there was a couple within the building at the time of the crash, but they weren’t injured.
The cause of the deadly crash is still under investigation.
