SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA – USC Student Arian Rahbar Killed in Street Racing Collision on Jefferson Blvd

SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (December 11th, 2021) – Arian Rahbar, 21, was killed Saturday by a driver suspected to be street racing on Jefferson and Harvard Boulevard. 

At around 3 p.m., Rahbar, a student at USC, was crossing in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a Dodge Challenger Hellcat, whose driver was racing another driver in an Infiniti G37.

The collision sent Rahbar into the air. He died from his injuries shortly thereafter. 

The two drivers involved in the street racing, Ricardo Aguilar, 24, of Los Angeles, and Carlos Valdez Moscoso, 21, were both booked on murder charges. Aguilar was the driver of the Dodge that struck Rahbar.

Rahbar was a Junior at USC and was described by his father as someone who “never did anything bad to anybody.”
