SANTA CRUZ, CA – Carlton Keegan, 18, Killed in Single-car Crash on Granite Creek Road
SANTA CRUZ, CA (March 30, 2022) – An 18-year-old man was killed Wednesday afternoon when the car he was riding passenger in crashed and overturned on Granite Creek Road.
The crash happened just before 4 p.m., near Branciforte Drive. The 18-year-old, identified as Carlton Keegan, was already unconscious and not breathing when first responders arrived. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the crashed Subaru, another 18-year-old man, sustained minor to moderate injuries. Authorities are still investigating what may have led up to the fatal single-car crash.
