GRIDLEY, CA – 23-Year-Old Man Killed in Head-on Collision on Highway 99
GRIDLEY, CA (January 23, 2022) – A 23-year-old man was killed after being involved in a head-on collision on Highway 99.
The fatal crash happened early Sunday morning, when a Nissan traveling southbound on Highway 99, just north of E Evans Reimer Road, suddenly swerved into the northbound lanes for unknown reasons.
A semi traveling north tried to avoid colliding with the Nissan, but couldn’t move in time and crashed head-on into the vehicle.
CHP stated that “The 23-year-old passenger inside the Nissan suffered fatal injuries, another passenger suffered major injuries, and the driver suffered major injuries.”
The semi-truck driver was uninjured.
